You will combine your knowledge of Texas History with narrative writing for this assignment.

· Select an historical time period (setting) in Texas prior to the year 1900.

· Select a person (character) from Texas History that you have studied and are so familiar with that you could actually become this person for a brief moment in time. This could be someone you studied about in September. It does not have to be from the second semester.

· Write a 1st person narrative that accurately portrays a brief but challenging moment (conflict) in this person’s life. Be sure to include artifacts and details so that this reads as believable, as authentic and true.
